Fell into a deal (Long)
Well a buddy of my boss has this motor and he's going to sell it quick so he can go on fishing trip with my boss. I saw the motor (short block only) at our shop when he was storing some stuff at our shop. Just looked like a 350 with flat tops. Tells me he's got heads and a gear drive set up and a intake and rockers and new bolts and stuff for it. Cam is in it now ( don't know specs yet going to pull it out this afternoon and find the part #) Since my dad kinda screwed my old motor up(long story), i asked what he wanted for it......500 bucks.........i said a what the hell i'am sure i can at least get that in part value. Went and picked it up last night, and ran the numbers. Turns out it's a 350 block(couldn't find a suffix code to match the block) with a large journal 327 crank in it, has forged speed pro pistons, been balanced, brand new bolt through out. Has a set of camel hump heads ,that have been drilled and taped for stud and guide plates, and swirl polished valves and a three angle grind. Came with a Victor jr intake and a set of full roller rocker arms.. I'am probably not going to use the intake and will have to find out how big the cam is ,but i figure i can sell the intake( it's brand new) and maybe the cam, to pay for having to pull it apart and clean it up a bit (been sitting for 12 years oiled up) I might have to have the heads get a quick scuff
