What Transmision fluid should I be putting in my T400? it needs refilling after a gasket change and when I went to buy some they had Dexron 2 Dexron 3 and a few others.

I need to buy a Tap & Die set and need to know what thread type was used on these Trucks, the only thing I know is they're not Metric.

I have seen something called UNF/BSP would these be correct?.

Use Dexron III fluid. The threads on that trans are SAE which is the fine threads & USS which are coarse threads. Any non-metric tap-die set should have these.

Thanks very much Wrenchbender for the info...I guess you realized I was asking about Tap & Die sets cause I had managed to strip the thread on one of the holes on the Trans. So just to be clear on the threads, on the trans they are fine SAE, and the rest of the truck they are coarse USS?
