Question Axle code location ?

I was looking in the red book where it has listed 3 letter axle codes for the different ratios.Am I being a DA (Dumb A$$)or are they hard to find on the tube?

The code is stamped on the bottom of the left or right axle tube adjacent to the diff housing. On the blazer it is on the front of the right axle tube inboard of the control arm 45 degrees above horizontal.
