Where to find headlamp plugs

I am switching the headlights from my 88 full size from the four lamp halogen to composites. I don't have the new ones yet, but I assume I will have to change the bulb sockets. Anyone have a source for buying these besides the dealer?

I would try Oreilly Auto, they may not be out on the floor, but they may be able to order them or have them behind the counter. Also a wrecking yard. I would check the dealer, they might not be as high as you think. They would more than likely have or be able to get them and you wouldn't be wasting gas driving all over looking for them.

Salvage yard and a walk about always works for me.

Re: Where to find headlamp plugs

I replaced the dull composites on my 97 with the small quad sealed beams from an 88 and I used the same plugs. Only one prong on the outside lamp was different. I merely twisted it with a pair of needle nose pliers a quarter turn and it went right on. No probs.
