I think those 255x60-15 tires are a great match for a 15x8 rim. I have four of them on my 15x8 rusty crome sawblade rims on my truck, and i love the way they look. The tire is a perfect fit for the rim.

Hey your truck looks nice...good choice of tires! One question maybe you could help me with...mine has a 350/350trans/3.73 and I'm wanting better mileage so it can be a good daily driver (going to work I take a highway for 15 minutes and I'm hitting 3grand on the tac... I plan on swapping the rear to 5 lug and changing the gear ratio. If that doesn't do enough I was thinking of swappings trannies. Right now it's drum all around but I'm also going to add 5 lug disc to the front. Just not all at once. Any advice would be appreciated greatly!

BillG i'd say go for the OD tranny swap, gearing can help but if you get a OD tranny and a lockup converter your freeway rpms will drop by about 30% or so, much easier on components not to mention gas mileage.
Also lots of fellas on here done those swaps so the resources are available. Either way good luck greg

Same as post above, OD trans with lock up converter. 4th gear lockup only. Also 700R4 have a lower frist gear than your th350 so your 373 feel like 456 frist instead. For the rear do a 5 lug conversion swap with new drums or get a 71 to 72 rear, just rember 71 to 72 housings 3/4 wider per side. For myself I plan swaping rears, for the wider housing and the five lug.

With the 700R4, would buying a junkyard one and having it checked out be ok/freshened up or purchase on that's been rebuilt? 4th gear lockup... Is that something I do/setup? I'm capable as long as I have good books and the right tools. 71-2 Housing... 3/4 wider, I take that to mean that my tires need to set back to compensate. I want to achieve a tucked look that fills the wheel wells nicely. The previous owner took one coil off the front and a leaf off the rear. Thanks again for everyone's advice!
