Big Block?

Alright, Can someone help me with these numbers off a Big Block?

off the front of the passenger side head: C4A176626

A buddy of mine got these numbers off of it, but I don't know what part of the engine they came off of.... 40524TRW

Thanks for all the help.

Hey Brit, are you sure that is C4A and not CLA or CKA?
I'm showing CLA as a '72 402 with auto trans.
I don't show a C4A prefix.
Maybe someone else knows.

SC, I'm not sure, I thought it was a 4 but I'll look again tomorrow.

68 Stepside, forgive me, I don't understand. How are you sure it's a 454? Wouldn't that mean it was externally balanced? shouldn't I be able to tell that by looking at the harmonic balancer? I appreciate your help.

PURS,
Get the block casting number and date code off the rear below the intake but right above the bellhousing. Casting number will be on left, date code on right side. That will help.
Then go to www.mortec.com and see what you have.

I went to mortec with the numbers I've already got and couldn't find anything. I'll try to get the other one's tomorrow and check mortec again. Thanks SC.
