I could not reply to that post so here it goes.

Can you use a larger than 2 inch block?
Can you use a block and cut the rear springs as well?

I am wanting to lower the front about 2 inches and the back about 5-6 so that it will be level.

Vance,just for reference check a few of the threads.Most members here do a 2/4 or a 2 1/2 /4 drop.This seems to get everything level.If you go more than 4 I think the front will set higher than the rear.
On lowering blocks I think 2 in is about as much as you want to go.Remember that for every inch of drop you also lose that in scrub or distance from the lowest suspension point to the ground.

Thanks man, i have alot to learn!!!!! I am almost done with the new shop so i am just iching to get started on the truck. I just hate how the rear end is so high on my old truck. thanks again

if you have rear springs --- you just get shorter springs -- you don't need to be concerned about blocks

If you go as low as 4 or 5" - a C-notch would probably be good

One thing to consider is that blocks allow drop w/o affecting the overall shock travel. The ideal scenario for a 6" drop would combine dropped springs w/blocks & shock relocators as this set-up allows running off the shelf shocks.

2" blocks are about the max w/o becoming hazardous w/a 15" wheel combination. If larger diameter wheels are utilized, a bigger block can be used because the scrub line is changed. The caveat here is that the trailing arms start hanging down farther from the rear-end & thus become much more visible which just doesn't look right.
