Question Need advice (Fuel related)

How in the he!! are you supposed to install new hoses from the passenger tank/hardline from the diverter valve? Is there anyway I can loosen the hose up a bit? I already installed two ends at the sending unit, but I cut one hose too short. Now, I can't remove the ends because they are so tight! I have already removed the tank 4-times this week and would like to avoid doing that yet again. Thanks for any suggestions.

P.S.-I know you have to remove the squeeze clamps before the hose will come-off, but I have already done that...........obviously.

A quick fix is to do this. Take a short piece (however long you may need) of 5/16 tubing and flare both ends. Then slip this in betweeen the two rubber ends and clamp down. The rubber ends will be a little tough to get over the flares but it will save a chance of leaking easier.

Well, I ended-up removing the tank afterall. I should have it back in next week after I finish painting where I scratched the tank/underside of the cab.
