Right hand drive.

I saw this while at the Goodguys show in Nashville. I just wanted to share these with those of you who don't make it to the 67-72 section where I posted my show coverage pics.

Re: Right hand drive.

Very cool! Man I wonder how hard it would be to drive that shifting with your left hand? I bet it would take some getting use to.

Re: Right hand drive.

I would say it is original, either a us rural mail truck?, or most likely an import from england, new zealand, or australia.

I heard the owner telling someone that it was built to be exported but for whatever reason it never left the country. Who knows??

Re: Right hand drive.

That's cool....definitely would some getting used to shifting with your left hand. I'd probably be grinding gears thinking I was flipping on the turn signal

I have to say that looks strange without any heater controls and no radio opening. I've seen a couple with the radio delete plate but never one that was not cutout at the factory. It is really clean looking though. There appears to be a defroster hose or something coming from behind the glove box. That knob below the glove box may be for a heater of somekind. I'm curious to see what's under the hood of this truck.

Re: Right hand drive.

This one was on eBay a while back, here are the pics of the right hand drive setup. the auction said it was an export but they sold it new to a guy for use on a rural mail route. Is this the same truck? you be the judge. look at that mark on the heater control delete plate.....

Re: Right hand drive.

1st 2 sets of photos are the same truck. Also look at the marking on the heater delete location also the wear on the steering wheel.

Re: Right hand drive.

Nice to see one with RHD. Seen a few in England with RHD, but they are harder to sell over here. People want American vehicles to be as they should be ie, with LHD. You soon get use to driving next to the kerb, and people tend to move out of the way!
Some RHD American trucks/cars come from Australia, South Africa, and I think some were built in Belgium. Lot,s of RHD mopar cars here and there is even a Aussie Car club that turns up at some of the major shows.
