That's probably the way to go black67 for 125.00 you get a new bar that bolts right in, with new bushings, no messin around.

Scrap the rear ford sway bar idea, I guess ford parts are just not allowed on GM, I played with that bronco sway bar for quite a while today, and I think it would be just to much work to get it to fit right, back to the drawing board. Does anyone have access to a interchange book that might give a cross over for a rear sway bar for my 71 chev 4x4

I was gonna say that the ford sway bar won't fit on a truck with coils. I got one just this week and ran home to try it just to be disappointed that it wouldn't. If it were a little narrower. Probably would fit right on a truck with leafs though.

Mine has leaf, but the bar wouldn't attach to the axel housing properly, and the frame link arms interfered with the leaf springs, it could of been narrower as well. I'm checking with hellwig products and addco manufacturing, they both claim to make sway bars to fit, I'll post what I find out when I do.

low69cst whats the diameter of that camaro sway bar, and it looks like you mount it backwards, I was wondering if that made any differance to how it works, I suppose it's the same principle weather, it faces forward or back

The bar is a 15/16th's. Yeah, i mounted it backwards. it should help the bar work better than hindering it. All the bar does is twist so upside down or not shouldn't affect it. But by putting all the frames mounts rear ward, it should help it's ability to resist body roll through mechanical leverage.

low69cst sounds good to me, Does the links on the end of the sway bar, have to be level, or can they be slightly down or up? Had another question, my bushing kit came in today for the front sway bar for my 4x4, and I have to change the top plates on the leaf springs, cause the new sway bar plate is the part the sway bar hooks to, can I unbolt that top plate with the weight of the truck on the springs and just change the plate ( any precautions) or should I take the weight off the springs? I don't know the nature of the spring, what it's going to do when I loosin those u bolts???????
