gmc/chevy interchangable grill?
what would be required to put a gmc grill in a '72 front clip...or would the whole clip have to be changed...just wondering

I see the chrome is calling you.
Aside from the grille itself, you'd need new fenders, headlights, headlight buckets, redo the wiring somewhat to accomodate 4 headlights, and to either mod the original core support or replace it. I think that's it...

so basically the whole front clip, i was hoping the fenders wouldnt require changing...we'll see...the idea just popped into my head and i posted

67-68 chevy fenders are same as gmcs...damn...i was thinking of making the blazer a "jimmy clone"

whats the diff in the core supports? what would need to be done to mod it?

I think the only differences in the hood are the holes for the emblems.
Core supports are different only because of the headlight buckets, I think. If you were to remove the old ones and install the new ones, you'd be fine, you'd just have to do a lot of measuring and stuff to get them lined up right.

i know the 67-68 chevy hood sloped more to match fenders...if gmc uses the same fender, shouldnt the hood be the same as the 67-68 chevy hood?

no, they used the same hood as the Chevy in any given year. They used the chrome trim on the top of the grill to take up the slack when the hood chainged.
