rearends differences
Are 71-72 rearends wider than the 70? I'm confused, I thought they were all the same??? I've got a 70 converted to 5 lug and it's a little narrower than the 77 front end I've got on it now. I've always thought I had to live with it??

I know the '72 Blazer 12 bolts were wider than '71 or '70. Your rear end should be narrower than the front wheels on a four wheel drive for steering and better traction.

67-69 is a different length than 70-72. However, on 2 wheel drive, 70 has 6 lugs.

i've heard that 71-72??? rearends were 3/4 inch wider at each hub... add up to 1.5 inches total?? this could've been for 70-72, not sure, but i'm pretty sure they were different widths.
