If you're looking to convert from drum to disc I'd reccomend GMC Pauls. I used their kit and it comes very complete, good quality, good fit and finish, uses existing tie rod ends.

If you just need a new rotor, I'd check NAPA or your local mom and pop.

are the spindles from a 71 , 5 lug disc going to be the same if I purchase a 6 lug disc.

I doubt NAPA can help you at all.
Try GMC paul...he has them.

Check out Early Classic Enterprises. They make both 5 and 6 lug discs that fit on the 71-72 spindles.

Yes the 6 lug spindles will go on 71-87 truck spindles using all stock wheel bearings for those years. We carry stock both the 5 lug & 6 lug rotors. If you use the 73 up spindle be aware that there were 2 rotor thickness's used 1" and 1 1/4", the 6 lug rotors only work on spindles that were for 1 1/4" thick rotors.
