Cigarette Lighter Removal (what's the trick)
Cigarette Lighter Removal, what's the trick? Looking to replace it with a new unit but I can't seem to remove the old one? Any ideas?

The lighter is two parts...
one that slides through the dash cluster from the front and the lock ring (actually like a cup) that is threaded on from underneath. Unscrew the two parts and it will come out with no problem (or it should come out with no problem that is). |

I just removed one from my truck. It may be a little "tight" before it will actually break loose. Mine was stuck but once it started to turn, it came right on out.

The piece on the back has teeth almost like a hole saw. Sometimes they get tight and you may have to hold or turn it with a pair of channel locks.
