GMC front fender trim
2nd try to get details:
Ok I understand 68-72 GMC fenders are the same as 68 chevy. What about the front edge of the GMC fenders for the GMC chrome moldings and clip holes vs. the edge moldings found on some 68' chevys? I need 68 chevy fenders with allowance for front edge trim. Also is the 69-72 GMC hood the same as 69-72 chevy? How can this be if fenders are different or is the GMC "top-Bar" what makes up the differnce in length? Please help

The 68-72 GMC & 68 Chevy front fender are the same part, there was no need to change anything on the front edge to accept the small 68 fender trim, or larger 69-72 GMC front fender eyebrow trim except drill the holes for the clips to pass through. The difference in the hoods is made up by the grill not the fender, the 69-72 Chevy fender differed because the grill wraps around front edge of fender so a recessed area was created on 69-72 fenders to allow the grill to do this other than that receseed area its identical to a 68 Chevy or 68-72 GMC front fender.

Thanks for the details, you and Les really know how to serve all of us truck guys. Now one more question. How many trim holes and how big are they on GMC to fill and then how many to redrill on chevy? Are any holes common? This seems nit picky but I have to factor in labor/time into price of fenders. It seems like quite a bit to save a GMC fender into a chevy 68 version.
