Gotta love a week off work, MAN MALL TIME!!

Took my 4 year old, Hank, out to the *in his words* Car Show. The first pic is just to show those Cali Boys what a real junk yard looks like. No clean concrete parking lot here.

My local pulla part only had 3 trucks. All missing doors, fenders, and hoods. The 67 *i think* still had a relay good no dent hood with emblems and grill. A good non tach dash, uncracked, would need some cleaning, have to talk the wife into getting another one. Plus an unmolested AC system. Only missing the driver vent ball. All the wiring is there too. Might have to Swing back and pick that grill and AC system up Saturday.

The 69 and 71 were pretty well stripped. The 71 has the full AC system also. Even cleaner wiring harness on that one. All the original plugs for the fuse box for the AC and radio. A definite pickup after next pay check. Just missing the Lighter *one thing i was after*.

The last pic is of what i went out there for. Radio's. Going to see if i can get some good ol AM, black helicopter, the governments out to get me type shows on them tonight. LOL

yeah. the 67 and the one next to the one your talking about are long beds.

It was in bad shape sheet metal wise. I only took one pic of the inside of the cab. But it did have a realy nice bench. All the springs and hard ware, Even the foam was in good shape. Probably just needs a cover.

Re: Gotta love a week off work, MAN MALL TIME!!

that would be nice. I wanted to get the trailing arms off that shortbed, but the fork lift guy was buzy. No rims, just stuck up to the axel in mud.

Anyone know where the FAQ thread is about fixing these radios?? I got a light, but no sound, probably my speaker.

Did the 50th have a choke or, from what it looked like but was cut at the fire wall, a throttle cable where the wiper knob is on, say, a 69??

Re: Gotta love a week off work, MAN MALL TIME!!

all 67/68s had a manual choke where the 69's wipers would be... unless optioned with a manual choke, then there was a block off plate in the choke spot.

pm sent. Sorry man. Life always gets in the way of playing with these trucks.

Well i got the local station outa both of these units. Too cool. I just need to figure out what goes behind the tune knob. Guess i wound up with a tone adjuster for both.
