fender badge holes size & location?
I've installed new fenders on my '68, but need to know the location and size of the holes for the "10" badge on the front fender. I got new repro badges, but they didn't come with nuts or clips or whatever the heck holds them in place. What are they and where do I find them?
Is there a template available, or do I have to drill free hand and screw it up, like I know I'm going to?

Re: fender badge holes size & location?
Mine have studs on the back that you screw a speed nut to... As far as mounting them I took some heavy paper to the junkyard and made templates off original fenders.. I did consider using 3m double sided tape... If you filled the back of the emblem with something like jb weld to make it smooth that you could stick the tape to it would work...

Re: fender badge holes size & location?
The GM Assembly Manual has the exact location however I am at work and don't have it here. If you don't have it by this evening I can look it up for you.

I would appreciate that. It'd be a huge time savings for me. Thanks.

Re: fender badge holes size & location?
I spent an hour looking through the Assy. Manual (no index...the problem with this book) and these are called "existing holes" and all optional badges and trim, on the fender, are located off these holes. I have a fender and I will measure it for you. Are you sure you don't want to know where the Custom, Custom Camper, Camper Custom, CST, 4-Wheel Drive, 350, etc. badges are supposed to go...LOL?

Re: fender badge holes size & location?
Its for the plain jane burb, so it's custom nothing. The old fenders didn't have any badges at all either, they also were replacements a long time ago. In other words, this truck is working on at least it's third set of fenders.
It's been crashed 3 times severely, and lately it was just rusty. I think the roof and the transmission are the only original unfixed parts. The frame was tweaked in a bad front end collision. The engine is a '75. All three front doors are replacements. The rear doors are dented and rusted. An entire rear quarter panel was replaced with a used one. The rear gears were replaced. The seats are all gone, replaced with other make and model ones. All that and it's still cool.
