72(?) Extended cab... convertable???

Sorry I don't hang around these parts very often.
A guy came buy to by a tranny from me last weekend. This is what he was driving.

I believe it is a '72 but I could be wrong.
It started as a '72(?) K20 and a 72(?) K5 Blazer.
Now it is a '72(?) K20 extended cab with a convertible top. He said he wasn't real happy with the top and planed to redo it one of these days.

Somebody did a pretty good job of putting that together.I wonder how hard it is to get the top off with that rack in the way.

There is not a dividing line over the windshield where the top would come off is there?

ok maybe im just wierd.. but i can see the potincial.. i think it needs more done to it, but it would be kinda cool to build something like that.... i think i'd make the extra cab part a little longer..
