Is this a good price for sandblasting.......?

A local guy quoted me $30 to do 2 inner fenders, battery tray, and bumper brackets. After weighing all of the advice I received from an earlier thread, I decided this was the best way to go. Are there any questions I need to ask the blaster? Any chance of warping or damaging an inner fender?

that's a very good price for all of those pieces, especially for both inners. I probably couldn't get close to that with my blaster.....

no real questions you need to ask the blaster. just make sure he tapes or plugs the threads on the battery tray.

you should have no problems with warpage either. the inner fenders are fairly stout.

remember, pick your parts up after blasting with paper towel or the like. it is truly amazing what a sweaty hand print can do to beautiful fresh metal!!

Some places will coat/paint them for you for just a bit more (depends on the shop) and makes working with them after blasting a whole lot easier - agree on the great price to do all that stuff.

Good tip, lks dcvn. I think they do have a painting service. I need to ask. I know they are in the process of changing shops.

I had a local shop quote me $150 to sandblast a manifold and headers, so it sounds like a great deal to me!
