Project: 1968 GMC C2500
Ok guys, i first purchased this truck last summer in July/Aug. and have since done some stuff to somewhat start the resoration part of the build. When i first got it home i worked some ofthe bugs out of the engine since it hadnt run in 4 to 5 yrs. Replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter and filled tank with fresh fuel as well as a can of sea foam.
After i did all that i began to strip/wire wheel all the paint off the body and see what was hidden underneath. I found a lot of hidden bondo and more rust. I also started pulling the interior out and glass out to eventually get that all replaced. I also ordered some interior pieces for after the build. I got a Highliner headliner, door panels, sun visors, and a seal/weathersrtipping kit for glass and doors. I recently moved it to a storage facility and i am beginning to replace body panels, starting with fenders and doors and possibly a hood and full bed if i can find one. I will have pictures avail. as soon as i get a camera to use!

Re: Project: 1968 GMC C2500
What direction are you going with it? I think i finally found a solid start in my price rance but unfortunately like yours, it's a 2wd 3/4 ton, I just don't know if i want a 2wd 3/4.

Re: Project: 1968 GMC C2500
i guess, not being the owner i cant exactly say either but i THINK he is wanting to do some sort of a hot rod type street machine. Not exactly sure yet as he keep saying different ways he wants to do it.
Ive heard he wats to go all original parts, and ive heard him say he wants to go all custom parts, so i guess im just waiting to see which way it ends up taking off

Re: Project: 1968 GMC C2500
Hey i have a question for you. I am looking for new gauges for my dash of my 1968 gmc truck. I don't know if these will work for this style or truck, what do you think?
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...hTerm=105-1300 Please let me know asap if these would work or would it be best just to get a complete dash cluster and go that way?
