Need Some Opinions

I need to make the roll pan for the bed that I built and need some opinions on what you guys think will look the best.
When I build it I plan on welding to the bed and not having a seam where it buts. Thanks for any input you have on this.

Re: Need Some Opinions

How about a fill panel from the bottom of the fenders following the contour of the fender under the bed.

I was thinking that same thing but don't know how to make the curve and keep the round corner of the bed. I may have to experiment and see what I can come up with.
I added a couple pics of what I think you mean Cal.

Re: Need Some Opinions

cut some exaust pipe to get your curve...
curve is the best choice since your dominate object is rounded you need to complement it not compete with it

I think I've come up with a solution to my problem on it. I'm having some 1" tube bent to match the contour of the rear fender and then I will have to weld some 16 gauge sheet in-between to make the roll pan. This should keep my rounded corners and help everything to flow nicely.

Re: Need Some Opinions

What's the radius at the back corners of your bed? Just looking at the pictures, I'd think 1" tubing is too small and you'd need something like 1.5" or 1.75" -- keeping in mind I'm just looking at the pictures.

1" tubing will only give you 1/2" radius if you weld the sheetmetal at the tangents of the tube to form your 90 degree angle (hope that makes sense).

Its 1". I took a piece of the leftover corner from the bed to my steel guy and 1" will work just fine.
Thanks for the concern though.
