Question about dash install's
I am about to put my new dash in my truck, and was wandering if you guy's welded your's back in, or left it unwelded. I was thinking about cutting the spot weld area completely off so I can remove the dash without a lot of trouble in the future, but I was wandering if I might make an unwanted noise concern. What do you think? Thanks

Why not cut it across the slots where the dash pad goes and just replace the bottom part? That way you can tack it in a couple of places at the slots so it would be tight but still be easy to remove if you ever wanted to. You wouldn't have to mess with the spot welds & the dash pad would cover the cut/tack welded area. Just a thought. LockDoc

Re: Question about dash install's
I thought about that, but my old dash was beat up around the front top area. I have already removed it.

That makes sense.... I would re-weld the spot welds at the windshield then. I think there would be some movement in that area and I would think it could even crack your windshield if there was enough. LockDoc
