awesome idea
i think it would look really cool if you took a 2wd swb fleet and make it a unibody truck and then air bag it make it a convertible truck but make it a removable hard top and make the top electronic and paint it some really wild color i saw it in cct magazine one time only it was a drawing and it was of a blazer instead of truck

They had that concept drawing in street trucks a while back, it was a blazer and they put a 2 piece truck top on it, kind of making it look like the new convertible SSR concept, I wish I had a pic.

Blazer
Is this the one you are talking about? It would be a really cool blazer if someone would build it.

Wow, that would be something! Only problem is I, couldn't draw it let alone build it. Thats what the convertible SSR WISHED it looked like. If it did I might start saving my pennies. LOL

Andy thats it. Awsome idea. Love the electric hard top. Folds under the hard tonnue. Not hard to do with a blazer and fiberglass top. In fact I think a company made one for the blazers.

Idea
How about we all write Chevorlet and tell them to build it! And maybe they will... , As in the movie you build it, they will come!!!
I for one wouldn't want to even try building it. I would rather let them do it. It would turn some heads for sure though.

If you did a search on some of my old post you could see I've planned that very project for quite some time now, in fact I have just about everything to do it. First I have to get the videos done. I'm not a dreamer but I guess this is my "dream" project.

Hey Andy, you DID found your magazine, I was too lazy to look fot it, it sure looks sweet, but physichally would be pretty hard to make one like that one there, the base of the cab is the same width as the top of the bed (or the the panel behind the seat) , so how would the whole roof, including the bottom of the cab go to when folded down??
I'm explaining myself clear?

Truckers
Isn't that the one TRUCKERS built awhile back? Are some Big name built. Not taking nothing away from you ebfabman, I think it's great if you could build it. I just don't have the talent are the tools, but I'm like you, it sure is sweet. If you ever do build it I sure want to see it when I come to Charlotte to visit family.

You could make it a four seater, if you use a Suburban or Panel truck. Just a thought.
