Idea for a DD

This is a little off topic for this thread but i couldnt think of any better sources to ask... I have the oppurtunity to buy an all original 1965 nova ss with a mild 350 and a powerglide. The paint is new and the interior is flawless. and it has no rust. and its dirt cheap.
What kind of mileage do you guys think i could pull with this if i dropped in say a 200r4 and a 550cfm carb w/efi? I need a new daily driver and i am looking for any alternative to a honda

I thought of doing the same thing but the mileage will never get close to the Hondas? Although there is the cool factor that come into play. If your not commuting that far I don't see why you shouldn't get the new/ old car.

I'm about to buy myself and old commuter too. All I can say at this point is that it's a 66, not American, and will get at least 25mpg. I don't want to jinx it though...

As for the Nova, you probably won't get very good mileage with a carb AND EFI In all reality you should be able to set it up to get over 20mpg pretty easily. More for more $$$
