T5 swap
I have searched this site looking for info on swapping a S-10 T5 into a 1963 C10. The truck currently has a sm420 trans. My question is what year trans would I need and would I have to swap over to the S-10 hydraulic clutch. I believe trans would survive behind the 305 that is in the truck.

Re: T5 swap
I'm looking in to this also. As far as I know, any S10/f-body V6 tranny pre-1992 will work with your bellhousing. Any GM V8 tranny will work also. This gives you an option to find a world class case for a little more insurance and closer ratios out of a camaro and use an S10 tailhousing to put the shifter out of the bench seat.

Re: T5 swap
I got no idea, but you should be able to find something cheap with also looking for v8 tranny's. I say keep your eyes open and you should be golden.

Re: T5 swap
Check out the inliners.org website. They have quite a bit of write up on T-5 swaps. Look under Tech Tips, T-5 Tranny page.
