Where in the United States are you? Someone might be able to help you with an Upholsterer that would be a lot cheaper than that, but the U.S. is a big place. Don't hide like nucleus. I think it's easier to help people if you know where they are. I had my seat done in Wichita at a custom shop for $150.00. Don't mean to rag on you about your location, I just think everyone should state where they are from.

LMFAO!! Now that's a classic! I don't think I would try dyeing the seats, seems like it would wear off pretty quick. Door panels are one thing, but they don't take the abrasion that a seat does. But on the other hand, modern chemistry does some remarkable things these days!

my truck does not have the original bench, it has 96 towncar bucket seats. I spilled some paint on them during the summer and it hasnt came off a bit yet, so it got me to thinking...

That paint should come off, check with a shop and see what they use. I'm with Barn $1.500 is a bit steep. I think the late ' Burb seats look good. Good luck
