drip rail question?

I've noticed that some drip rails are molded into the cab like my Blazer and some are bolt-on like my truck. I've noticed that on other trucks too. Just out of curiousity, what trucks got what and why?

Re: drip rail question?

All the Blazers with half cabs (76-91) had molded drip rails. On pickups they were bolted on.

Re: drip rail question?

I can't swear by it, but I think I've seen some pickups with them molded in.

Smoking the good stuff again?

Chris is correct, all drip rails on trucks are screwed/riveted on. What's bad about the Blazers is they are more than just the gutter. If you cut them off, it will require some serious welding/filling to get the area straight. It can be done, but it does require some labor.
