Re: clear marker lights

LMC used to carry them all clear but no longer.
And to answer your question as to why amber bulbs? It's because of the FEDERAL LAWS that state the colors of lights on any vehicle in the front is to be white for headlights or auxiliary driving lights, and amber for front turn signals, parking lights and side marker lamps. On the rear of the vehicle only constant red for taillights(also called rear parking lights), brake/turn signals and white for reverse/back up lights. Also amber for momentary lights i.e. turn signal lights on the rear and RED side marker lights.

All other colors are illegal for use on the road UNLESS THE VEHICLE IS AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE such as police, fire & rescue, or ambulance.

Also side marker lights are a federally mandated safety item on all vehicles since 1967 or '68 I believe. So removing them can garnish you a ticket from a cop if they feel so inclined and are aware of the laws like they should be.
Sure you can change them around move them around as long as they are still there and in the proper colors otherwise your just sending up a really big flag that says HEY LOOK AT ME I WANT A TICKET!!!!

Re: clear marker lights

Too bad!!!! because I just took all my lenses off and they are all clear, including tail lites and I would just give them to you for the price of shipping only as I dont like them but my truck is a "71".....
