What about the need to turn down the "register" that centers the wheel? I'm pretty sure my machineshop had to do that when they worked on my axles.

He'll have to if he uses 71-later drums but not if he redrills his original 6 lug drums.

I also had to do that when I put disc brakes on one of the rear ends I have...
