Hey Tim, I would think there would be room for the brakes. Is it the Booster? If so I would think a Big Block booster would probably give him clearance.

BTW Keep me posted on the PF show.

Tim, I've got a K&N filter I bought for the 1bbl. If I recall it's 4"x5"tall. I've only used it for a year and I'll send the chrome adaptors to mount it on a monojet. $25+shipping.

I maybe facing the same thing too Tim. I would tend to think the stock C10 booster clears, but I have one from a C20....Looks like an alien space ship, so I maybe facine the same thing with the stock filter houseing. Hadn't thought about it muchtill now, but I have see a few of the trucks with 292 and power on c20/c30 flatbeds. It looked like they had the same filter housing thtis on mine.

Major clearance issues with this setup. I ended up using a K&N Mustang setup... it's an injection molded plastic piece that sits on the carb and it snorkels out the just behind the left headlight area and uses a standard K&N cone filter. Works like a champ.

You mean the air filter is hitting the booster? Mine has the factory oil bath set up and I added a '72 c-20 booster and there is tons of room. Not sure if he could find ( or want ) an oil bath though....

There is a solution!! - and it's factory!

There is a special air cleaner setup where they actually moved the air cleaner over towards the passenger side and built a plenum that goes from the 'remote air cleaner housing over to the intake of the carb. I have a spare complete setup if you are interested. E-mail me please.

Cheers,

I have a 72 with a 250 six and power brakes I would take pics of the clearence but it is in peices. Im sure you all know that the air cleaner sits over the valve cover and hase an elongated part with a six inch tube that gose to the carb. and my vacum to the booster is on the face.
