can I use a Gmc grill and still call it a chevy?

I like the 62 chevy grill I have now but the more I look at all the differnt trucks on here the more I like the dual headlight gmc grill. I figure ill just loose the "GMC" part of it and have thought about running it upside down. Also possibly doing something custom above that.

In the end it dont really matter what we do to our trucks to make them our own, does it?

I have one of those grills and have thought about using it on my chevy. I like them. I say if you like it, go for it and post pictures por favor! Anyway, it isn't something that can't be undone easily if it doesn't work out.

Put it on and custom cut some steel to say CHEVROLET to replace the GMC. Or better yet, put something unique like JOE'S or your initials. Then have them powder coated or paint them to match your truck

Hell yeah sometimes it's good to be different...that's why I'm keeping my big-block V-6 in my GMC. Everybody always thinks its a 348.

Re: can I use a Gmc grill and still call it a chevy?

I've got a 65 chevy chassis with a 63gmc cab with gmc custom trim, a gmc hood still brandishing the V6 badges, and a 65chevy grill. I think its perfectly acceptable to have a gmc grille on your chevy truck. Like everybody has said: Do whatever floats your boat

That does look sharp! I can visualize the flip of that and think it would look cool just as well!

Ok I suck at this and used microsoft paint not photoshop. It gives you an idea what the flip would look like. Maybe someone with better skills can give it a try..

Do want you want.
I have an extra gmc grill, so I've been throwing out some ideas that would keep the grill bolt in. The gmc has a chevy hood, so it should give a good idea of what it would look like.... here's one in the middle.
