Please Confirm Wheel Fitment... '69 C10

I have a '69 C10 with the standard 4-6 drop. I am buying a set of 20" Coy C-5's and I wanted to know if you guys can chime in and confirm that the sizing I was sold will fit fine.

Front: 255/35/20 on 20x8.5, 5.25 BS
Rear: 275/40/20 on 20x8.5, 4.75 BS

Anyone who might have some knowledge on this... I would be GREATLY appreciative!!! If anyone thinks this is very wrong, Please let me know!!!

Thanks!!!

Q: How big is a hole?
A: Depends on how big it is.

Now, to your wheel question... maybe you can give us more info on the ride height, fleet/stepside, etc. On a bone stock truck, the sizes you mention will bolt up just fine. But if you're lowered, that may change things.

too many variables to honest. Are you asking tire size or wheel backspacing? Do you want the wheels to be "tucked" or out a little.

Take a look at my build thread below, 17x8 and 17x10 with 4.5 backspacing. I have the narrower early rear end. The tires are 275 50 17 and 285 60 17 with a 4-6 drop. That should help you out and give you a point of reference.

I am more talking tire size. I really just want to know if I am going to have rubbing issues with this size of tire and on the front will I have any turning issues?? Hate to ruin tires rubbing on the fenders...

Re: Please Confirm Wheel Fitment... '69 C10

Just a reminder that the Coy rims have some issues with our trucks... you'll probably have to do some grinding on the wheel bearing caps etc.. to get the caps to fit. Do a search if your not familiar with this.

I want some Coys myself...

I have a cad file to make 1/4" thick spacers for the caps for the Coys ( so you don't to grind on the hubs ). Just PM me or email me @
dguffey@signalmachine.com and I will give the cad file to anyone who wants it so you can get them made.
