Pic of 4x4 air conditioning vacuum canister

Does anyone have a picture of the metal plate and ac vacuum canister attached to the outer heater housing of a 4x4. Thanks. |

My dad finally gave me his '72 4x4 and I'm trying to restore it. Do you know where I can find a diagram for the vacuum hoses? It has the vacuum can shown above and a solenoid vacuum switch mounted to the intake manifold on the passengers side. Is that really neccessary? I can't find any info on this vacuum set-up anywhere. Please let me know. Thanks.
