1/2 ton 4x4 to 3/4 ton...
OK guys here is the deal.... You may remember me picking this truck up for 200 bux a few months ago.. Bad flywheel and had been vandalized.. Well I sold the diesel out of it for what I paid for the truck and he removed it.. I got a nice 355 to go back in it.. I am just wanting to make this truck a good mud/ off road truck.. No rocks or anything like that.. Ok well a friend of mine swung by the house the other day and told me he had a mid 70s 3/4 ton 4x4complete rolling chassis that I could have if I came and picked it up.. Will these axles simply bolt under my 1/2 ton??? Or is more work involved???

Re: 1/2 ton 4x4 to 3/4 ton...
They should just be a direct bolt in. The front brake lines may be a little bit different, so you may need to swap them as well, depending on what year that chassis is. The only other thing I can think of that would be different would be the u-joint at the rear axle. You can buy a 1/2 to 3/4 ton conversion u-joint for that. I have done this swap before without any problems. ...Joe
