Emergency brake cable bracket

I just bought a 72 Blazer and need some help to get it road worthy. In order for it to pass inspection I need to get the emergency brake to work. I’m not sure how it is supposed to connected. The rear axle is a 14 bolt with drums. I can see the cable coming from each drum. The emergency brake pedal has a cable that runs back and is connected to a spring. I assume there is a bracket to connect these. Does anyone have a picture of what the bracket looks like or website where I can get one?

This is going to be the 1st of a long list of questions I'm sure, so thanks in advance!

Sounds Like you need the back 1/2 of the E-brake setup. There is a second cable that is U shape. The e-brake peddel pulls on the bottom of the U and each tip of the U is connected to the brake cable comming from your 14bolt.
The U cable is held inplace by metal hooks from the frame rails..A picture would clear all this up but I just looked at my gallery and don't have a pic to share. My rear ebrake's 1/2 is gone now too..I installed 14disk in the rear.
Hopefully this makes a bit of sence or someone has a pic to clear it all up

Sounds like your e-cable question is answered - that's the great thing about this board - there are enough people on here that someone almost always has an answer or good suggestion when you have an issue or question.

Wow thanks for all the replies. I’ve been checking out this forum for about a month doing a ton of searching and I have to tell you I’ve really been impressed with how helpful everyone seems. I have a Jeep build as well and by the time you get through all the flaming it’s not worth being on the boards.

Ok enough of that, I bought the Blazer on the 4th of July this year at Pismo Beach. I picked it up as is. It’s a definite 20 footer. The PO has replaced most of the outer sheet metal but I can tell it’s going to need some rust repair. I know I’m going to need to cut out the floor and check the rocker boxes. It looks like the drivers side floor and been cut out and patched multiple times already.

Specs: 350, sm465, 205, 14bolt rear welded, 44 front both with 4.10s , I’m guessing about a 12” suspension lift with a 3” body. 44x21.15 sts on 15x12 rock crushers.
