VIN # help
Iam new to this site and need some help I bought a 67 chevy shortbed step side the title says 67 but there is no vin plate on door frame is there a vin on the frame or any where else thanks

Look at the SPID on the glove box door, and the left side frame rail near the steering box.

Well, a couple of places to look would be on the frame, driver's side, in the engine compartment. the only other place the vin would be would be on the glove box door, on the inside. other than that, those are the only places.

If the SPID (option sheet) is still inj the glove box, then it'll be listed on there, but that is the ONLY other location for a FULL vin... the door jamb and the SPID. On the frame rail by the gear box is a partial VIN, last 8 or so, but, sometimes it just isn't there. I was shocked when I removed all the grime and paint on the front of my suburban's frame and found no numbers there. |
