84 6 cyl to V-8 swap
Hey guys. 1st post to this BB. I've got a clean 84 SWB with a 250 6, a truck 4 spd tranny and two piece drive shaft. I want to switch to a V-8/auto . My questions are:
Do I need different motor mounts? Do I need a different cross member? Also , will a late model (92) C-15 bench seat bolt in my truck? ------------------ Never under any circumstances take a sleeping pill and a laxitive on the same night

Impalass, pretty much on....
You need V8 mounts and you need to move the frame mounts to the "8" position. The tranny crossmember.... What tranny? If it is a short tail TH350, the existing crossmember should work (Trucks came with long tails normally) Will the seats "bolt" in? Well, I would say not without some work. ------------------ Chris Lucas 1973 Chevy C-10 1975 Chevy Silverado Captkaos' Page
