Zero Progress - Short Update:
Thought I'd let everybody know what's been going on up here, pretty much everything EXCEPT blazer building.
![]() The biggest item (time and money sucker-upper) is our current house renovation: After 15 years in this house it was time to do the kitchen over 'again'. *Knocking out two walls, 1 interior and 1 exterior and adding 2 exterior walls and 1 more interior wall. ![]() *Enclosing a porch and changing the entrance to the house to provide for a mud room. This made for huge amounts of rip-n-tear, along with the necessity for a 14ft steel 'I' beam to create the clear span needed for the new space. PART DUEX: All at the same time, I'm having a 25'x8' retaining wall built/poured to repair/replace a previous redneck 2x2x4 concrete block wall installation that had no prevision for drainage and as a result undermined my foundation. ![]() The good part though is that along with the retaining wall they'll also be pouring a parallel 25' footer wall. Yeah, for the new garage!! ![]() So that's the whole story behind the zero blazer progress...stay tuned. |

Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way
The contractor threw me a price of $25K yesterday and said it would take him 4 weeks.
![]() Now remember, I've got the concrete pad already there and the retaining wall will act as one of the walls and I'm paying for the roof separately. Walked straight into my office and called another contractor... Last edited by vtblazer; 08-27-2008 at 06:25 AM. |
