Ghosts in the machine?
I have a strange problem when it rains really hard, the parking lights come on. It would be a great safety feature going down the road but it tends to run the battery down sitting in the drive. There are some leaks in the cab but I checked today and didn't find any water near the switch and the fuseblock was dry also. The strangest thing is that with the switch in the off position (pushed in) I could dim the dash lights. I suspected water may have gotten in the switch but finding it dry has me puzzled.
Any ideas? |

Right when it happens, pull it in the garage and check. While it is still soaked.

Re: Ghosts in the machine?
When I still drove my truck on the street it set up for 4 or 5 years and I had ghosts too,my horn would go off and one day I was at work my neighbor came over thinking something was wrong and unplugged it,but it would do it about once a month before that

When anything weird electrical starts happening, I always check grounds. Some strange things happen when you don't have good solid grounds. I don't know about the raining part and the lights. Sometimes gremlins like old cars, maybe their taking refuge from the rain and play with your lights.

Re: Ghosts in the machine?
As I recall, putting grimlins in a microwave oven works pretty good.
