need some wiring pics
I'm back at reassembly. But i'm confused as to where the Cig, Radio, Tach, and AC plug in. Seems like there used to be a split connector for the cig that ran the one side of the AC.
The fuse box has a place for radio and cig to plug in, and i've run the tach to the ign unfused, but there is a fuse for HEater and AC. whats the deal. I'm just confused. ttt

Re: need some wiring pics
Did you buy a new harness?
I'm interested in your post, because I'm pulling my harness right now. I'm down to the fuse block, and trying to figure out how to get it out. My plan is to buy the M&H harness, since they're supposed to be correctly color-coded and with the correct wire ends. Of course, it would help if those ends were labeled, too.

Re: need some wiring pics
Pull the round silver switch off the fuse box. Underneath is the screw that holds the fuse box on.

Re: need some wiring pics
Thanks, found it. Turn signal flasher, in the upper left corner. Didn't have a 5/16 socket in my pocket, but it'll happen.

Re: need some wiring pics
yep. Geeze, I hope you don't want me to recall how it was assembled....
The heater harness, if you have factory A/C, is different from a non-A/C truck, I think. I know there is an additional A/C harness that goes through the firewall to supply power to the clutch.

Re: need some wiring pics
OK,i got it figured out. The cig plug that goes on the fuse panel has a 't' for the AC harness to plug into. the radio just goes straigh to the 'rad' plug on the fuse block. I had to build a couple parts, this being a non ac truck to begin with and me adding factory ac.
Well ttt.

Re: need some wiring pics
when adding A/C, you'll need to put a larger fuse in it's place... I cat on chevytalk.com just went through this. I think it was a 25 amp fuse for A/C.

Re: need some wiring pics
yeah, just checked the AC wireing diagram. once again, your right 25a.
Pluged in the radio and the 1st station i could pick up was playing "Blue eyes cring in the rain" so the radio works GREAT in my book if it can pump out the Willie!! lol., funny as today is the first day its rained in about 3 months. BTW, like the new avatar.
