Re: Nice 60

That is a nice 60. Don't see very many really nice 1960 trucks. I really like the stance of the truck. The LT1 will sure make a nice driver. I have not heard anyone using the Caprice rear end in these trucks. Sounds like a good choice if the width is right. A lot of the patrol cars had limited slip and rear disc brakes and a 5x5 bolt pattern.

Re: Nice 60

I could tell that was a grain truck hood, because it has clear lenses on it, b/c grain trucks had the blinkers on the fenders.

Re: Nice 60

beatiful looking 60. engine bay does seem a little off but that might be just fine for the owner.

Re: Nice 60

Very nice truck. I did not think Chevy went to amber turn signal lenses till 62.
My 61 half ton had clear lenses and it was an original hood. I put amber bulbs in mine. On the engine, for a few dollars more he could have went with the Corvette dress up kit and Camaro air intake instead of the home plate silencer and had more visual appeal. Thats what I did with my SS! I like the looks of it better than the home plate silencer.
