Thanks for the response, I see some trucks with 20's on the front and it looks good and then I see some others and they just look to small. Maybe it's the tire size or the airbag setup they're runnin. Sorry back to topic keep up the good work, This is definately one of the nicest trucks I've seen and it's not even done yet |

Re: Pretty slick truck...
I'd really like to know what size the rear tires are in this pic. Didn't see it quoted in the thread:

Re: Pretty slick truck...
I know both of these guys personally. They are very good people and do great work. They are just average guys who love hot rods.

Re: Pretty slick truck...
A little bit of detective work gave these results-
Rear wheels will be 22x10 and the tires will be BFG KDW T/A II. Looking at the BFG site tells us there are only two possible options since I don't think those are 325/55's. They are either running 285/35 or 305/40's. Considering the amount of sidewall visible I am going to speculate those are 305/40's. Anyone else have a theory?

Re: Pretty slick truck...
Is there any details and closeups of the taillights? I'm planning something similar.

Re: Pretty slick truck...
I thought I read somewhere on the net that it was in the booth for color & was supposed to be done for a Columbus GoodGuys debut.

Re: Pretty slick truck...
Hi Guys,
Rodney here, I'm one of the guys building this truck. I noticed there was some activity on this thread so I thought I'd anser the questions posted. The tires are BFG KDW2 295/40/22 on a 22x10 rim. The tail lights are one off billet but we do plan on making a few sets of them to sale once we finish the truck. (we just don't have time for that right now) I have attached a new photo of the rear of the truck. This photo is from a few weeks ago when we assembled it all in bare metal for a round of photos before we busted it apart for bodywork/paint. Not sure of the finish date. It's one of those time things and seems like we don't get to work on it as much as we'd like. Hopefully it will be done toward the end of this year or early next. I promised Josh at Truck Builder magazine I'd send him the most recent pics so they might show up in an upcoming issue and will post them on our website if I will take the time to do it. For some reason I just dont update it as much as I should. I guess it's that time thing again. Thanks for the interest and the great comments. Rodney http://www.highgearhotrods.com |
