chrome plating parts

Anyone know the prosess of it? I have read you shouldnt sand blast the part you want chromed. But the part was sand blasted by the previous owner. Now I need to know what to do to it to correct it. Do I sand it till its baby butt smooth? Everything I have read seams to say the more you have it ready the cheaper it will be.

So does anyone know? Anyone been in the business?

Re: chrome plating parts

Best bet is to talk to your plater first to see what their preference is. If you don't know what you are doing you could make it more expensive to get the parts done.
