Just to add fuel to the fire; if it is in fact a 194 and the price is reasonable, jump on it!! While it may not be the ideal truck motor, the 194 head is a highly sought after speed part. The 194 is the only head in that engine family with smaller combustion chambers, meaning it can be bolted onto either a 230, 250 or 292 and it will raise compression close to 2 full points. That's a lot cheaper than buying high compression pistons, and is the true six cylinder way of doing things.
