Now that I have my 6in lift I need to figure out how to get the ebrake working. The rear cables are too short now. Is there anyone that has tackled this issue?????

And yes, I want my ebrake working. I looked at the inline tube site and it appears the shortbed and blazer rear cables are the same. Longbed cables mount differently inside the drum. They don't list length of the cables. I was hoping the cables from a longbed would work.

Any suggestions?????

inline tube can make custom length cables - I would start there

Thanks Igor, I'm curious to know if someone has used a cable from another vehicle that works. Last resort will be to have them custom made. Also interested in knowing how much longer they should be. 6in lift = 6in extra cable length?

I'm bringing this post back. By the way, I searched around the site for a while but never really found my answer. My K5 has cables that are around 40 inches long (not including the few inches that are inside the drum). First off, I'm not sure if these are the originals cable or not. Specifically, has anyone used ebrake cables from a long bed and had any success? I have a six-inch lift.

Holy Schmoley! It's alive again.

Never did get or find an answer. Put it on the back burner since I'm doing rust repair and she hasn't moved from the garage.

I need my ebrake hooked up

and critter what is all that stuff stacked between the axle and springs in your pic??
