Re: 454 engine mount HELP?

Go to http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_097.html and look for Part # 63-1281041 it will be bottom of the page middle column. You have to trim the frame a bit and might have to drill some holes. I used them on my truck. Here are some pictures..

Re: 454 engine mount HELP?

I may be wrong but I think the firewall needs to be clearanced a bit. I have some tall fabricated aluminum valve covers for my 350 and the corners of them come REALLY close (less than 1/8 inch) to the firewall on the passenger side.

Re: 454 engine mount HELP?

I was thinking it might be close to??
I hope not...the whole reason i picked up the sub was that I had the 454.
Personally I like the straight six look.
But like i said i had the 454 out of my dually and its a really nice motor.
Im prayin it dosnt turn it to a bigger project then its going to be?

Re: 454 engine mount HELP?

I cut my firewall so the valve covers would clear and I could get the engine back as far as possible. You can mount the engine up a bit and just drill some new holes or use the forward holes but just make sure the fan will not hit the radiator. There won't be much room there..
