Wanted : Hubcaps

I am looking for a set of NOS or as close as possible hubcaps or wheel covers for my 73 . I know that this is the 67-72 board but I figure you may have some Yellow center hubcaps since they are basically the same . If you have NOS caps , please post a pic and price shipped to Caldwell,Tx 77836 . They are for this truck so these are the ones I am looking for . Also , what should I expect to pay for NOS caps like this ?
Thanks ,
Frank

Re: Wanted : Hubcaps

Frank, this 4wd set would be all that I am able to part with right now. Sorry it's not a full set of four but you would be two closer plus an extra center cap to putting a NOS set together. Lmk

$300. plus cost of fedex insured shipping for the set of 4 wheel covers and $40. for the one center trim. I would need to box them in a oversized box to figure out a cost to ship, but I would think it would be no more then $35. for fully insured ground shipping to Texas, ship. cost would be actual with any difference refunded.

Looks like you are up . I would not be able to make a decision on these until Sunday so you are up . Classic Bowties , I understand the need for a quick decision but if ,for some reason ,the others that are interested havent bought these by Sunday ,PM me and let me know so I can make a decision then .
Thanks for your time ,
Frank

This is your WTB thread. You`re being too kind. You should have 1st dibs and not be pressured by others hopping in on your thread.Nothing wrong with them hopping in,but they should only get them if you don`t want them.IMO.

special-k, the pressure was from me and nobody else. I think you and I have had this discussion once before and what it boils down to for me is: If I am letting go of parts that I have had in my stash (these since 95) there is most likely a reason for that, as in extra spending $ $ $ for an approaching/unexpected coastal vacation.

The way I see it is F.Monroe put up the WTB thread (meaning looking and or wanting and or ready to purchase) I then reply with an offer, he then replied back with... would like to think about it, I then replied back with... I would like a yes or no by tomorow, he then replies with a pass for now. I am thinking he has an offer pending in his other wtb thread on the 73-87 parts board, and now that I have offered these up - they need to go.

Re: Wanted : Hubcaps

Hey guys , thanks for the backup but I passed on them so that he could sell them to whoever the other interested parties were . No problem . As noted in my original post , I also asked what I should expect to pay since I didnt know what they are worth . I think they are worth what he is asking without a doubt but just as he needed and answer to plan his vacation , I needed to wait until I returned from my Vacation to know what I could spend . I asked if I could wait till Sunday to make my decision and he replied that there were others that have PM'ed with interest and he would need a "take'em or pass at this time " . I pm'd back I would pass since I didnt want to hold up his sell . I also stated to let me know if they sell . I am sure I will find some . I am in no hurry . I am surprised to see that it will basically cost me $500 for a complete set but NOS parts have been stored all these years at a cost to the owners . I just returned home today with my pockets a lot lighter .

Re: Wanted : Hubcaps

Frank,

You are a very gracious person. I did not PM anybody, I simply posted that I was interested if you passed. I hope I did not step on any toes. I have been posting a WTB thread for well over a year and did not want to miss them if you passed. I waited til you passed and he contacted me.

By the way, here are the seats I got from you and a pic of the truck (frame anyway) that they and the covers will go on.

These seats!! The pic is in my bedroom. and the seats were blue and out of a 74 truck. I put 72 covers and brackets on them.

Thanks for the comment on the chassis.

WOW! That is nice work . Pat yourself on the back . You have done the seats justice as well . Those covers deserve to be on that chassis . It is a shame that the centers will be painted blue since they have that beautiful yellow on them now . My caps are almost as nice but the centers are pitted .
