Re: All the flat black trucks come here and post
here's my last truck;
69 C/1500 Short/Fleet GMC Total turd box, wrapped in wall mart cheap rattle can primer. looked like crap a year later. I don't recomend it. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 08-21-2008 at 10:43 AM. |

Re: All the flat black trucks come here and post
and my longhorn...
A more current photo of the inside... I know it ain't great... but it's a whole lot better than it looked inside when I got it (this is after a few hrs scrubbing and a seat cover) This truck wasn't painted like this to follow the trend, but rather to make it all one color. was sick of this; There were 5 shades of gray primer, and they were fading bad... so i shot it with a semi-gloss rustoleum. So I guess that it kinda went the direction of a true rat rod (I really hate that term) by putting function before form, and making it do exactly what I wanted it to do, then just making it a little less of an eye sore. Re: All the flat black trucks come here and post
Here's one that Boog sent to me. It's a whole lot like my plan used to be. Plan now is for glossy finish, but still black with a red interior.

Re: All the flat black trucks come here and post
I see one comment; any of these stand up to the weather? I'm looking for something durable I can put down myself. Suppose I should just get it painted and be done.

Re: All the flat black trucks come here and post
the rustoleum does pretty good. The only problems I have had pop up, are from my lack of proper prep work.
