Re: home made wood bed. need specs.

Here are the specs from GMC Pauls Website for the wood beds. I purchase my steel strips from Mar-k

I got my wood planks from Home Depot. I ripped, cut and planned the wood to size.
The steel strips from Mar-K were $7.00 each, They may be still offering FREE Shipping
I got lucky and got all my Stainless 1/4"-20 Carriage Bolts from swap meet
Washers and lock nuts from Home Depot

Its NOT finished yet, Sorry NO Pics

Re: home made wood bed. need specs.

I cut mine(white oak) using GMCPaul's specs, but had to change the "c" and "d" specs to 3/8", because my aftermarket stainless strips did not have the same width as the originals, so keep that in mind. (I didn't realize it until after I had cut the grooves) It's alot of work, but will look great when you're done.
