headers
Howdy i'm new to your board and was wondering
if anyone has had experience with big blk chev motors in 73'- 80'+ years of 2wd drivesand if they or someone they know has found a full leangth headder that they did'nt have to 'dent' on the pass side were it comes close the frame to motor mount."OR" has anyone used a 3/4 type length for the extra ground clearence? Thank-you for any help. Also is anyone building or know of any sites that someone has a 2wd "prostreet" p/u? |

I have 2 BBC 73's. One SWB ( http://www.captkaoscustoms.com ) and one LWB.
I am going to use 3/4 length header on the project truck due to it's low height. A friend has some Dynomax headers that didn't hit, and I had some Headman's that didn't hit. A friend of mine has them on his 2WD Blazer w/BBC right now. ------------------ Chris Lucas 1973 Chevy C-10 1975 Chevy Silverado Captkaos' Page

I had a BBC in a 74 Blazer with Headman headers. The engine ended up making it's own dent in the header with the frame. It's very minor though, more like a scuff.
